Syntax

reg.read.ROOT(Key, Name, Default)

Parameters

STRING	Key	Full path to the key containing the value to read.
STRING	Name	Name as used when the value was saved with reg.write.ROOT.
STRING	*Default*	Optional. Default value if the entry is not found in the registry database.

Return value

Value.

Description

Reads a value in the registry database.

In most of the cases, reg.readValue should be used.

ROOT can be one of the following predefined keys:
CLASSES_ROOT
CURRENT_USER
LOCAL_MACHINE
USERS
CURRENT_CONF
