Syntax

xml_settings_appUpdate(CurrentVersion)

Parameters

String

CurrentVersion

Current version number, for example {APP_VERSION}.

Return value

true: The application is to be updated
false: No update is required.

Description

This function check if the application is to be updated, depending on the version number found in the XML configuration file.

If the application is to be updated and if an URL is provided in the XML configuration file, the URL is opened with the default web browser.

JavaScript Sample Code

The XML configuration file must contain the following tags:
